Resort Policies

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in time begins at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-ins and late check-outs can be requested, but are not guaranteed.

Minimum Age Requirement

Mountain View Grand has a strict policy requiring all guests to be at least 21 years old to check into a guest room. This policy is in place to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all guests and team members. Additionally, this policy allows us to manage the resort in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Please note that any guest who is under 21 years of age and arrives at the hotel without a parent or legal guardian will not be allowed to check in. We require a valid government-issued photo identification card or passport to be presented at check-in, and this identification must reflect the guest's age to confirm eligibility for check-in. 
We understand that there may be situations where a guest under 21 years of age may travel without a parent or legal guardian. In such cases, we encourage the guest to contact us in advance of booking a reservation so we can discuss any special circumstances.

We take this policy seriously and appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests and team members. If you have any questions about our minimum check-in age policy, please do not hesitate to contact the Hotel General Manager.

Pet Policy

Dogs receive the VIP treatment when staying at the pet-friendly Mountain View Grand. After checking in with their human traveling companions, our four-legged guests will be gifted with a swag bag of goodies and as many head scratches and belly rubs as they desire from our dog-loving staff.  Your room will be set up for the perfect stay for your pup, with a cozy bed and bowls for food and water.

Pets welcome in select rooms only. A non-refundable per night fee will be added to your reservation. Weight limit is 40lbs and only 1 pet per room. Pets must be vaccinated against rabies and proof of vaccination provided. Please call the front desk at 855-837-2100 for inquiries on pet room availability and booking, or additional information.

Consumption Of Private Alcohol

Pursuant to NH Law RSA 507-F:6, the consumption of private alcoholic beverages is not allowed in designated areas and public areas, including but not limited to hallways, venues, indoor or outdoor public spaces.

Smoking Policy

Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa is a smoke-free hotel. Guests who smoke in the rooms may be charged a fee.


A one night deposit plus tax and any applicable package elements and/or fees will be charged at the time of booking. Advance purchase and "prepay" rates will be charged a deposit of the full stay plus tax.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel by 4pm, 10 days prior to arrival for a full refund. Reservations canceled within 10 days will forfeit 1 night's room/package charge plus tax. Advance purchase and "prepay" rates are not subject to this cancellation policy.

Resort Fee

The resort assesses a $30 taxable resort fee that will be applied per night, per room. This fee covers the following resort services:

  • Resort Parking
  • High speed internet access
  • Access to the Health & Wellness Center, resort pools, movie theater, game room and business center
  • Local and toll free calls
  • A wide range of daily scheduled family games and activities
  • Mountain View Farm
  • Trail access to hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling
  • Seasonal educational lectures and entertainment

Handicap Accessibility

The resort has an access ramp and full service elevator. While Mountain View Grand is certified as a handicap-accessible property, it remains a historical building which dates back to 1865. Therefore, some of our rooms are more accessible than others. If you require an accessible room, let one of our Guest Advocates know at the time of booking and we can assist you with finding the best available option to suits your needs.
