Climb, Run, Jump, Make New Friends Give your child the gift of nature and endless fun in the Great North Woods. Children of all ages at Mountain View Grand will enjoy age-appropriate activities thoughtfully planned and professionally supervised all through the summer and throughout the year. During the summer, holidays and school vacations, our trained Mountaineering Club guides host imaginative, interactive activities while parents can enjoy play time of their own. The Mountaineering Club runs through Sunday, Sept. 5, and during holidays and school vacations and is designed for children ages 4-12. Participation in the Mountaineering Club is complimentary. Mountaineer meals are available Friday and Saturday nights at 6 p.m. for $12 per child, plus 20% house fee and tax. Whatever the time of year, complimentary family activities are often the highlight of a Mountain View Grand vacation. Activities range from Wiffle ball home run derbies, scavenger hunts, nature programs, frog hunts and cannonball pool contests to marshmallow-toasting campfires, ice skating and snow-tubing. Don't forget to visit our Mountain View Farm, where sheep, goats, horses, alpacas, rabbits, chickens, llamas, and miniature donkeys await kids of all ages. Youngsters are often invited to retrieve Easter-color eggs from our laying chickens. Pony rides and carriage rides are always popular, as are dog sled tours and slieigh rides in the winter months (weather permitting). Our in-house movie theater is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon or unwind after a fun-filled day. Mountain View Grand offers over 500 titles to choose from and movies can be reserved at the resort’s front desk. Our Game Room, located just across the hall from the 17-seat movie theater, includes a pool table, Foosball, air hockey, and ping pong. Of course, board games are always waiting for you and your family in the Dodge Parlor and there’s plenty of fun to be had at either the indoor or outdoor pool. At Mountain View Grand, 1,700 acres are waiting to be explored…climb, run, jump, make your own adventure.
