Climb, Run, Jump, Make New Friends Give your child the gift of nature and endless fun in the Great North Woods. Children of all ages at Mountain View Grand will enjoy age-appropriate activities thoughtfully planned and professionally supervised throughout the year. During the summer, holidays and school vacations, our trained Mountaineering Club guides host imaginative, interactive activities while parents can enjoy playtime of their own. The Mountaineering Club runs from late June to Labor Day and during holidays and school vacations for children ages 4-12. Participation in the Mountaineering Club is complimentary. Throughout the rest of the year, complimentary family activities are often the highlight of a Mountain View Grand vacation. Activities range from Wiffle Ball home run derbies and cannonball pool contests to campfires, ice skating and snow-tubing. Don't forget to visit our Mountain View Farm, where sheep, goats, pigs, horses, llamas, and miniature donkeys await kids of all ages. Youngsters are invited to retrieve Easter-color eggs from our chickens. Horsedrawn carriage rides are always popular, as are dog sled tours in the winter months (weather permitting). Explore nearly 17 miles of on-property hiking and nature trails or participate in a Geo-Caching Adventure to find treasures hidden throughout the property. Our in-house movie theater is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon or unwind after a fun-filled day. Mountain View Grand offers over 500 titles to choose from and movies can be reserved at the resort’s front desk. Our Game Room, located just across the hall from our movie theater, includes a pool table, Foosball, air hockey, and ping pong. Of course, board games are always waiting for you and your family in the Dodge Parlor and there’s plenty of fun to be had at either the indoor or outdoor pool. At Mountain View Grand, 1,700 acres are waiting to be explored…climb, run, jump, make your own adventure.
