Small group tours of Franconia Notch State Park can be arranged through the resort's front desk and concierge staff. The tram runs daily through the summer and fall until October 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cannon Mountain Ski Area, visible from our lobbyand just down the road from our front door, has it all! Not only has itjust been honored by Ski Magazine as "One of Seven Great Mountains toSki With Your Kids," it's also one of the East's most challengingmountains, with a hefty vertical drop of 2,146 feet. It's all aboutvariety at Cannon, with over 22 miles of trails spread across 165skiable acres of terrain. It's a winter bonanza for skiers andsnowboarders of all levels and a great place to get back to what'snatural. In the heart of Franconia Notch, the mountainboasts nine lifts, including a 70-passenger aerial tramway, offeringmagnificent views of the White Mountains' Presidential Range for as faras the eye can see. Fifty-five trails present a challenge for skiers ofall abilities. Cannon specializes in kids, with three distinctprograms designed for all ages and abilities, from lessons and rentalequipment for Cannon Tykes (ages 3-4) on the gentle Brookside Slopes,to Cannon Kids (ages 4-7) and Mountain Explorers for those 8-12.There's a special Kids' Terrain Park, Kids' Camps and extra-funSaturday events.
