With the return of Mountain View Grand’s outdoor seasonal rink, ice skating is possibly the most fun you and your kids can have this winter . Hugely popular with our guests, ice skating at our historic mountaintop setting, with Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and warm apple cider or hot chocolate, will add to any winter experience. The Mountain View Grand skating rink is the perfect place to meet with friends and burn off some calories while having an absolute scream of a time. Considered a low-impact sport--until you fall down, which we all do--ice skaters can expect to burn 350 calories per hour for beginners and slow skaters, but once you're zipping around the rink that can rise to 450-550 per hour! We’ll be glad to send along a thermos of warm apple cider or hot chocolate. Some rental skates are available from the Club House for just $5, but you can certainly bring along your own favorite pair. If you don’t use them, someone else surely will!
