"Get Axed" Adult Axe Throwing
Choose this fun and friendly competition, where you throw an axe at a designated target from 20 feet away. We provide the axes, and you get one practice throw and three throws that count for points. It’s a great way to relieve stress for ages 15 and up. Come visit our gift shop for axe throwing apparel.

This in-depth tour covers the hotel history from 1865 until the present. We will teach you about how the hotel all began with the Dodge family. In addition, we discuss the many additions added over the years, how the hotel was closed for years, and the restoration of the hotel to present time.
Welcome Aboard Tour
This is a good way for new and returning guests to get acclimated with the hotel and property. We show you the indoor pool, game room, and movie theatre. Additionally, we also tell you about the buildings on the property, room service, housekeeping, and on-site dining options. The tour provides everything that you would want to know.

Enjoy a fun game of Bingo where guests get to compete for special prizes.
Meet the Farmer
Join our farmer on a short barnyard tour. Help collect eggs from the coop when the hens are laying, then visit the goats inside their pen. Say a "Good Morning" to our other animals as well as learn about their personalities and ways to interact with them. Questions are encouraged on this tour for all ages.
Parlor Board Games
This is an open non-facilitated time to go to the Dodge Parlor and socialize with other guests. We offer board games such as Monopoly, Jenga, Taboo, Sorry, Scrabble, Yahtzee, puzzles, chess, checkers, backgammon, playing cards, and much more. Puzzles are always in construction on the tables. The Dodge Parlor has games available 24 hours a day, and games are spread throughout the room or located in the cabinets under the picture of Frank, Schyler, and John Dodge.
Afternoon Wine Tastings
Sample some of our finest wines and tickle your palate with amazing tastes and flavors! This is for ages 21 and up.
Apple Cider Pressing Demonstrations
Help us celebrate autumn by making our own apple cider. We'll use a mixture of "drop apples" from local farms and sample our finished product.
This is a great activity where everyone in the family can get together and decorate their own pumpkin.
Cannon Mountain Skiing
Head to Cannon Mountain nearby for some serious ski and snowboard action. Rated number one for the best value in the East by Ski Magazine, this is where the beautiful scenery matches the challenges and varieties of skiing and snowboarding options for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
Experience an amazing race through the snow as incredible sled dogs lead the way. You'll get to meet the dogs and learn all about the history behind the thrills. Enjoy clear mountain views and white blankets of snow glistening in the sun with your family and friends during this experience of a lifetime. Weather Requirements: At least 8-12 inches of snow-base and non-frigid temperatures to ensure canine safety.
Hop on one of our many trails and enjoy a slow and steady ride through the beautiful mountain country and even look out for winter wildlife and follow their trails. Speed up to reach the peaks of our hilly terrain and slide fast down into the valleys, thoroughly enjoying the winter weather. Weather Requirements: At least 3-5 inches of packed snow.
Snow Tubing and Sledding
Ride down our snowy hills in a sleigh of your own or a tube you can rent from us for just $7. Few experiences bring such unbridled joy for kids of any age. Weather Requirements: At least 3-5 inches of snow.
Whether you're an expert or a novice willing to learn, ride around through the nearby trail system with more than 6,800 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Guests must be 16 and older and have a valid driver’s license present with them at all times. Children must be four and older to ride on the back. Please arrive 25 minutes prior to a tour in order to fill out a liability packet and get fitted for a helmet. Weather Requirements: At least 8-12 inches of packed snow.
Put on some snowshoes and walk the snow-blanketed mountain as quickly or slowly as you like. Find and follow the tracks of local wildlife while taking in the beauty of surrounding mountain peaks. Weather Requirements: At least 3-5 inches of packed snow.
Few things in life maintain nostalgic magic the way ice-skating does. Dancing, twirling, spinning, and falling- it's all part of the fun. Hold your younger kid's hand and step slowly. Let your older kids loose. Set yourself free and enjoy the cold wind as you swiftly skate circles around your family. Ice skating is weather-dependent and requires extended periods of cold weather to ensure ice is sufficiently frozen.
Play a round or more on our state-of-the-art classic clay tennis courts. We also have a Certified Tennis Professional who provides clinics and private lessons.
Cardboard Boat Races
Make your own cardboard boat with us. We supply guests with all the necessary items. Guests can race their boats in the outdoor pool.
Reward your body and soul with a hike of any level. Numerous trails designed to suit all skill levels await. Discover trail sites in the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge, Weeks State Park, Pond Brook Falls, Mossy Glen Loop & Nepalese Bridge, The Horn, North Percy Peak, and Caps Ridge Trail to Mount Jefferson.
Just moments from our resort, Santa's Village features fun rides and shows complete with Santa, his sleigh, his reindeer, and all kinds of Christmas-themed activities. Santa's Village is open during the summer months and for certain special occasions.
Silly Soccer allows guests to tickle, grab, and hug your opponent to make them laugh and miss the goal. Sometimes we even kick the ball into our own net and score. We even roll around the grass, kick our legs up, and act silly for silly soccer.
This is a fun family activity located at the sand square. We provide the ball- guests provide the team and the fun! This is a great way for those staying with us to meet other guests.
Capture the Flag
A great game for families, Capture the Flag takes place right on our playground. The goal of the game is to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to your side of the playing field.
It is an introductory clinic on how to build, maintain, and put on a campfire. You also learn proper campfire etiquette, as well as emergency fire procedures like "stop, drop, and roll."
Guests can enjoy a friendly game of wiffleball with other families at the resort.
A fun game that's a cross between frisbee and football, Ultimate Frisbee stresses sportsmanship and fair play.
Mountain View Grand Resort now offers mountain bike rentals and private mountain bike tours on our newly refurbished trail system, Mountain View Trails. Currently, we have over 10 miles of bike-able terrain.
