Rafting

Take the family on a tame whitewater rafting trip down the Androscoggin River, Magalloway River or Pontook Dam. Choose from a variety of  levels with the professional guides of Raft NH or Northwoods Rafting.

Rolling Dog Sledding

Just because the snow has melted doesn't mean you still can't enjoy the amazing experience of riding through the mountainside with a team of dogs speeding you along. All the while, you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery. The best part? Your "musher" will teach you how to interact with the dog team of Alaskan Huskies, Siberians and Malamutes.

Put your waders on and cast out into the water. Few experiences are as relaxing, contemplative and rewarding as the practiced art of fly fishing. This is certainly a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the warmer months.

Just moments from our resort, Santa's Village features fun rides and shows complete with Santa, his sleigh, his reindeer and all kinds of Christmas-themed activities. And guess what? Santa's Village is open all year long.

The Iced Tea Social is available for all guests in the lobby. This is a great opportunity for guests to sit around, relax, and meet one another. We will provide iced tea and lovely homemade cookies from our pastry shop.

History Tour

This tour is in depth tour from 1865 until the present. We will teach you about how the hotel was established and how it all began with the Dodge Family. We discuss the many additions added over the years, how the hotel was closed for years and the restoration of the hotel to present time.

Welcome Aboard Tour

This is a good way for new and returning guests to get acclimated with the hotel and property. We show you the indoor pool, game room and movie theatre. We explain about movie times and options. We also tell you about the buildings on the property, room service, housekeeping questions and about our options for on site dining. The tour provides everything that you would want to know.

Axe Throwing

A fun and friendly competition, where you throw an axe at a designated target from 20 feet away. You get 1 practice throw and 3 throws that count for points. It’s a great way to de stress for ages 15 and up. Come visit our gift shop for axe throwing apparel.

Cross Country Skiing

Hop on one of our many trails and enjoy a slow and steady ride through the beautiful mountain country and even look out for winter wildlife and follow its trails. Speed up to reach the peaks of our hilly terrain and slide fast down into the valleys, thoroughly enjoying the winter weather.

Dog Sledding
