Five-time U.S. and North American Rally Racing Champion Tim O’Neil has been a professional driver for nearly 30 years; local racing fans remember that he won the famous Mount Washington Hill Climb in 1990. Founded in 1997, Team O’Neil Rally School and Car Control Center offers a safe environment to learn to be a better driver and improve your responses to a variety of less than perfect road conditions. As Team O’Neil has grown, it has built a solid reputation and has drawn professional drivers from around the world.
Set among thickly forested evergreens in a private 560-acre valley, Team O’Neil consists of a 6.5- mile road course, separate skid pad and breaking zones, an obstacle avoidance area, and a slalom course. With patient instructors who are able to communicate to all skill levels, drivers will not feel intimidated or rushed. In this relaxed setting, any student can learn.

One-Day Rally Experience School
The One-Day Rally Experience classes will introduce drivers to the fine art of driving a rally car. At this school, drivers will learn the left-foot braking technique that pro drivers use to slide through corners under control. The One-Day Rally Experience consists of a short classroom session on vehicle dynamics, safety, balance, and car control. The majority of the day is spent either on the skid pad or the slalom course practicing the techniques of car control in Team O’Neil school cars. The day wraps up with a full ride around the Team O’Neil facility at “maximum attack” with an instructor behind the wheel!

2, 3, 4-Day Rally Schools
These schools are for anyone who is interested in becoming a better driver, whether you are an existing/aspiring rally, road racer, auto crosser, rally fan, or simply enjoy performance driving. Through left-foot braking and advanced skid control lessons, drivers are guaranteed to leave the school with a greater understanding of car control that will enable them to be able to master the unexpected.
These Rally Schools can be taken over the course of 2-4 days. Day one is designed to improve your existing skills and give you a chance to develop and practice correct responses in a safe environment. Day two will focus on advanced techniques for superior car control and maximum handling.
The three-day school offers a more intense and results-oriented presentation of the skills taught in the two-day schools. Covering 3+ days, the three- and four-day Rally Schools give the driver an immediate and greater opportunity to practice skills, master his/her application, and take full advantage of the benefits.

One-Day Winter Safety School
The Winter Safety School is a one-day class designed to test your limits as well as your vehicle’s limits in a safe environment. Through the slalom course and accident-avoidance exercises drivers gain the confidence and experience to help them handle real-world situations. This class is taught in groups of 12-15 students where students use their own vehicle (the one they are most likely to drive in winter conditions). *It is important to note that the chance of damage to your vehicle is minimal.
