Holiday Vacation Weekis a specially festive time for children at Mountain View Grand, with our Mountaineering Club offering a wide array of fun, age-appropriate activities during the evenings while mom and dad can have some Holiday cheer for themselves.
From the day after Christmas through New Year’s Day, the evening schedule from 6 to 9 and beyond will be chock full of action. For instance, on Dec. 26, there will be a kids’ talent show with plenty of great prizes. Other nights will feature a professional magician’s show, some great big-screen movies, an “Everybody’s Birthday Party” celebration and gala fireworks display on New Year’s Eve, and more.
While parents are dancing to the big band sounds of Berlin Jazz in the Crystal Ballroom on New Year’s Eve, youngsters four years old and up will enjoy their own New Year’s Eve Grand Buffet in Presidential Hall, with great chow-down favorites like macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, hot dogs, pizza, salads, and a belly-buster make-your-own sundae bar. There will be supervised games, karaoke contests, Wii competitions, and movies, along with front row seats for the spectacular midnight fireworks.
Reservations for the Children’s New Year’s Eve Party must be made in advance. The price is $25 per youngster, which covers the buffet dinner. For more information or to make reservations, please call 866.484.3843.
In addition to nighttime fun, there is a full schedule of day activities during Vacation Week, including broomball, milk jug curling, scavenger hunts for prizes, cookie decorating sessions, a paintball biathlon, chicken bowling, and much more. Check the Activity Schedule for details.
