Talk about the “height of luxury” for guests--Mountain View Grand has completely renovated and redesigned its signature Tower Spa to create a top-of-the-world soaking experience for romantic memories that will last a lifetime.
We have installed new thermo-pane glass windows to offer our guests unmatched 360-degree crystal-clear views of our 1700-acre property and our surrounding 57 White Mountains peaks.
The top level of our landmark 90-foot tower has been completely remodeled, and we’ve installed a new Kohler sōk overflowing bath, designed to create the ultimate luxury soaking experience for two. Bathers are deeply submerged in slow-moving water that has been fed into the sōk tub by way of ceiling-mounted faucets sending fresh water down through a clear vertical cylinder into the bath. Water continuously flows over all sides of the “infinity edge” of the granite-top bath with a gentle rhythm, even as calming full-spectrum chromatherapy (color) and effervescent bubbles from 13 separate entrance points caress the skin. Bubbles from guests’ glasses of champagne and the luxury of chocolate-covered strawberries further highlight this placid escape.
The sōk experience has been heightened by raising the tub itself up from the floor so bathers can attain stunning mountain views beneath a lovely chandelier and hand-painted ceiling while enjoying their bath. A window seat and comfortable chairs are available for relaxing after the deep-warm, soak experience.
The couples’ massage area, just below the upper tower level, has also been remodeled for a more intimate experience, as bathers can descend to this lower room of the spa suite for private massage treatments.
The Spa at Mountain View Grand received a coveted award in 2008, when it was named as one of the top five resort spas in North America and the Caribbean by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine. All massage rooms at Mountain View are designed to accommodate side-by-side couples’ massages.
