Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating in two categories. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.
Mountain View Grand, the only resort or hotel in New Hampshire to be recognized with Four Diamonds in both the lodging and dining categories, has been a AAA Four Diamond Award® winner in the lodging category for five consecutive years. This year the resort was also recognized by AAA as a Four Diamond recipient for its Main Dining Room. In the Restaurant category, Four Diamonds denote that the restaurant's "surroundings are highly refined with upscale enhancements throughout. Highly creative chefs use imaginative presentations to augment fresh, top-quality ingredients."
Of the six New Hampshire lodging establishments awarded Four Diamond status in 2008, only one other resort on the Seacoast, was among those to receive the prestigious award. Only five restaurants in the state were honored with the Four Diamond award, and Mountain View Grand’s Main Dining Room was the only resort venue selected. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that Mountain View Mountain View Grand joins a select group of AAA Four Diamond Award winners. Just 3.6 percent of the more than 32,000 AAA Rated lodgings and 2.7 percent of the nearly 28,000 AAA Rated restaurants were awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond designation for 2008. The assignment of a AAA rating of one to five Diamonds marks the completion of a successful annual evaluation. All properties must first meet AAA’s rigorous requirements and guidelines during an evaluation by one of AAA’s 65 full-time professional inspectors to become AAA Approved.

AAA’s Diamond Rating System is the only ratings system that covers all of North America and one of only two that include physical, on-site evaluations. It is the only system that uses full-time, professionally trained evaluators to inspect each property on an annual basis using a set of guidelines that are made available to all establishments.
