Mountain View Spa was recently named among the top five resort spas by the highly respected Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
The 14-room spa received a score of 97.0 out of 100 for Service, making it the highest ranked on the list of 54 of the best resort spas in North America and the Caribbean.
“It’s an amazing honor to be included among North America’s most elite spas,” said Jennifer Williams, Mountain View's spa director.
Mountain View Spa was also honored as number five spa overall, sharing top honors with the Mauna Lani Resort at Kalahuipu'a on the Big Island of Hawaii, Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego and Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas.
That's not all, the spa was also rated sixth among all resort spas for Treatments—offering a menu of over 60 selections, including facials, massages, hydrotherapy, manicures, pedicures, and salon services.
According to the magazine, more than 4,000 of their readers rated over 1,000 spas they had visited in the past three years on a 100-point basis.
Williams credits much of the spa’s recent success to the staff. “We have an excellent team in place, and service is always our number-one priority,” she said. The staff includes licensed cosmetologists, massage therapists and estheticians, as well as a support staff of receptionists and cleaners, who all work toward one common goal--customer satisfaction.
A 2007 graduate of Lyndon State College with a degree in Business Administration, Williams is also a nationally certified massage therapist and holds a certificate of Massage Therapy and Bodywork from Vermont Community College. She’s been on staff at Mountain View Spa since 2004, when she was hired as a receptionist. She has slowly worked her way to the top, most recently serving as the spa’s coordinator before being named director.
In addition to offering a full slate of services for resort guests, Mountain View Spa also welcomes the public. A spa membership can be purchased for only $100 a year, gaining members valuable discounts on each spa treatment and deeply discounting special treatments each month. Outside guests can also book treatments without purchasing a membership.
The reader’s poll was featured in the April issue of Conde Nast Traveler, a six-time National Magazine Award winner and the most searched travel magazine on Google.
